Mariposa's Latin Kitchen

Their food is very good. I love the way it looks on the inside, although the tables are kind of small but its not a very big place so bigger tables would make it too crowded. Sometimes since it is a smaller establishment there is only one waiter so service is a little slower.

What a great staff, great food and great atmosphere. Took my family here and we loved it. Would definitely go back..

Specializing in tacos, enchiladas, and tamales...this place was great! Every bite was flavorful with every enchilada having something unique about it. Some of the best enchiladas I've had in my life.The atmosphere was nice too. A bit of a hole in the wall, but clean and easy to get in and out of.

Food was great and tasted very clean and fresh. The drinks could be a little better and made faster if they had a dedicated bar tender. Service was good and they made sure we always had chips and salsa which is appreciated. Would definitely go back especially when choosing between it and other Tex-mex chain restaurants.

Went there with a group from work for lunch. It is small, but cozy and a great environment to be able to talk. The food was AMAZING, all five of is thought our dishes were delicious and we plan on going back to sample more of the menu.

Very good food. I've only been once, but will return. Only issue I had was with the waiter. He wasnt horrible, but he didnt seem to care that much. Didnt know much about the food, not very attentive, etc.

The weekly specials are good. Especially the Empanada's on Wednesday's. The service is fast, the food is yummy.

I've been eating at Mariposa's for about three years now. The owners are great people and the staff treats you well! When I have corporate events I really relay on this restaurant to serve us. You must try the food and the awesome Margaritas.

Food was fantastic, service was kind and quick. I got the pork tamales with the Cuban queso appetizer and both were amazing!

Cuban rice is unique and delicious. Tacos were a tad dry but salsa and chips are on point. Salsa is flavorful and not too spicy while chips are perfectly salted and not greasy.

Service was a little bit slow, but the food made up for it! I had beef fajita tacos, and they were phenomenal! The meat was tender and well-seasoned--Delicious! Had grilled veggies on the side: a mix of zucchini, squash, and mushrooms that were very tasty as well! Unassuming from the outside, but well-worth a visit!

Outstanding food and great people

Went here for a work lunch and tried three different enchiladas they were all very good, especially the pork enchilada. The guacamole was nice and fresh. I look forward to coming back to try something else!

Where do I begin?? My friend at work and I found this little spot a few years ago but just decided to give it a try last winter. We had heard how Mariposa's Kitchen prided themselves on only using authentic ingredients and we were intrigued by that. We arrived to a quaint little restaurant with a bakery counter (yum). The hot sauce that greeted us is where we fell in love! We couldn't get enough of it! I ordered the (seasonal) Bean Soup with Jalapeno Cornbread and a side salad with house dressing, and my friend ordered the Enchilada Soup with a side salad; both were fantastic (we shared each others' soups)! The only two requests I have as a delighted customer would be: 1.) Set out LARGE salsa bowls at each table! and 2.) Make the Bean Soup with Jalapeno Cornbread YEAR ROUND!!!! PLEASE!!!! I've been craving it all summer!!!

The grande tamales are huge! They are the size a big chimichanga! And the pork in it was tasty!!

Excellent food, from the salsa to the entree to the desserts.Can't be seen from Camp Bowie, but it just 1 block off the main drag (in the same plaza as Rocco's Pizza)

5 Stars for the food!! Drinks were also good. Service was a bit on the slow side - they need a bartender. I will be ordering food from here again without a doubt. They just need to improve their service time, a lot of pressure for one server/bartender to juggle. I ate the veggie enchiladas - so amazing, so surprised by just how good they were. We also had the guac and queso, both were good, Guac is simple and fresh. My husband got the tamales and he loved them.

My man took me here for my birthday. Our table was visited by the owners who were very courteous. Our server was wonderfully attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were excellent and I really enjoyed the food. It's a small place with a relaxed ambiance. I'd never seen or tasted tamales like these. They were awesome. Highly recommend.

So good! The food is really fresh and so flavorful. We absolutely loved our meal. The staff is friendly and helpful. They seemed a little understaffed the day we went so it took a while to get our food. I'd highly recommend eating here.

Their house salsa is delicious, very fresh tasting. And their margaritas have to be some of the best in town. I like the fact that their menu is somewhat limited, I think it means everything is fresh and homemade.

I could not wait to write this review. I’m sitting at the table eating the most incredible meal. I told them I’ve cut out carbs and could not eat tortillas. I know. I’m a Texas girl cutting out carbs! 😂 I was presented with the most beautiful chicken fajita tacos without the tortillas! Everything was incredibly seasoned, moist, and the grilled vegatables were amazing!!! Thank you! Can’t wait to come back again!

Irma has always had the best mexican food in town! I have used them many times for catering and I have been to their restaurant several times as well. Both experiences were very positive! I highly recommend this place!

I have been to Mariposa's twice. Both times the food was outstanding but the service was very slow. Our server was very nice but just too busy.
